After arrival at the port we
the departure station for
the Atlantis Submarine.
This model is just like the
sub we rode on. Well...it is
a little smaller. We had a
short briefing and then
took a short boat ride out
to the place the submarine
was waiting for us.

We had about 45 minutes on the
sub. Cozumel sits at the edge of
a 4000 foot drop off. We didn't go
that far, but we did go down to
100 feet and look over the edge.

colors of light leaving only the
blue. We saw all sorts of fish a
lobster and a nurse shark.
The trip back to
driving through a
cruise ship
parking lot!
Next we visited
Chankanaab Park. It is
located in the reefs
national park. We took a
archaeological garden
with recreations of
Mayan cultural artifacts.
After a quick stop at
Señor Frog's we
headed back to the
ship and another
spectacular sunset
courtesy of hurricane
Katrina. It was later that
night we learned we
would be sailing back
through the storm.
